I've never done a photoshoot before. I don't know what to expect.
Don't worry! You will be guided through the whole experience from what to wear, how to prepare and how to pose on the day. I also offer a complimentary design consultation to all of my clients so we can jump on zoom, plan your ideas, go through your outfits and I can answer any other questions you may have.
I'm nervous — is that normal?
Completely normal, and honestly the most common feeling I hear before a session. With over 20 years of experience and a decade running a commercial studio, I've guided hundreds of first-timers through exactly this.
Everyone is nervous when they arrive, but are brimming with confidence by the time they leave.
This is a judgment-freezone! This one-on-one experience exists specifically to dissolve that nervousness before we even pick up the camera.
Can I customize a photography package to fit all my needs?
Absolutely! I certainly don't fit in a box and I don't expect you to either!
Every session and every client is different, so we can design a package specifically for you.
How much does a session cost?
It does depend on the type of session, whether it's studio or location and whether hair and makeup is included.
Generally you would have a session fee and then pay for the photos once you choose the ones you love.
What products are available?
We have so many ways we can create beautiful keepsakes and treasured memories with your photos.
We can create custom wall art for your masterpieces or if you prefer to keep things more private we have lots of collections that include albums, partner albums, designer boxsets and digitals.
We can even include calendars, peepshow viewfinders and mobile phone apps!
There's something for whatever your heart desires!
How long does the session take?
A boudoir or glamour session with hair and makeup will take about 4-5 hours so make sure you give yourself plenty of time. You want to be relaxed and enjoy the day!
Headshots and branding sessions can be anywhere from half an hour to a full day depending on the scope of the work.
What should I wear to my session?
Whatever you like! This is your opportunity to express yourself however you want to without judgement. You can get creative and have fun with it or wear whatever makes you feel most like yourself, whether that's a pretty dress, lingerie, or your everyday work wardrobe for a branding shoot. We'll talk through outfit options before your session so you arrive feeling prepared rather than guessing.
Who sees my photos? Is my privacy protected?
Absolutely! Your privacy matters to me as much as it matters to you. Your images are never shared, published, or used anywhere without your explicit permission.
When will I see my images?
The very same day! After your session, I will get you some refreshments so you can relax while I put together your slideshow. We will go through your images together so you can choose your favourites, and we can design your collection.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
Some products take longer than others to produce and may take up to 8 weeks to edit, design and print.
All of our products are custom-designed and printed through professional labs that only work with professional photographers to ensure the highest standards on our work.
Final products are delivered once paid in full .
If you use our interest-free payment option you will receive your images as soon as they are ready.
If you are on our in-house layby, your order will be available once final payment has been made.
Additional payments can be made at any time.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! I want you to get whatever beautiful artwork you want from your photoshoot and I will try to make it work for you as well!
There are several options available including Humm, Afterpay, Zippay, Paypal and Layby.
Where is the studio, and do clients travel from outside Brisbane?
These days I operate from my home studio in Bray Park, in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane, QLD. I do regularly have clients travel in from across Queensland and interstate for the experience. If you're planning a trip in specifically for your session, just let me know and we'll make sure the timing works.
A lot of my clients will use it as an excuse to have a sneaky weekend away with their partner or bestie!.
Do you photograph men and teenagers, or only women?
While I do predominantly work with women, I do not discriminate who I photograph. Whether you identify as she/he/they or other the session will be designed around you and your vision. Boudoir and glamour sessions are for adults, while sessions for teenagers are scoped specifically to modelling and acting portfolios with parent involvement throughout.
Can I use my photos for LinkedIn, my website, or my business?
Yes! Personal branding sessions are built exactly for this. We can create a library of images that work across your LinkedIn profile, website, and social media, so your business finally has a face people recognise and trust.
